Helpful Hints

reminders to help new owners look after their carts

  • Ensure that the green go-go switch is turned completely off when plugging the battery into the cart (stand in front of the cart).
  • Be sure to fully retract the front wheels before folding up the cart.
  • The battery must have an overnight charge if you are using it the next day.
  • When the battery is in the tray, the terminals should not touch the top of the tray (that is, the battery must go into the tray with the terminals facing away from the top of the tray).
  • Curbs:  Put front wheels onto the curb, then lift the rear wheels over the curb.
  • Always push the cart and gradually turn on the green go-go switch while holding onto the handle.  This saves the “wear & tear” on the clutches, gear box, and battery
  • After golfing, it is recommended that you do not hose down the cart with water.  To clean the cart--the course’s air hose (if one is available) or wipe it down with a towel or rag.
  • NEVER pull your Hill Billy behind a ride power cart as you will burn out the Speed Controller.
